Founded in 2008, Octante is headed by William Trosman, who has over 30 years of experience in the financial market and, alongside with his partners, form a team of professionals with wide experience and credibility in the market, in a company where the principle of meritocracy is fully applied.

 

The company is organized in two major areas: Octante Asset Management and Octante Agribusiness.

 

Octante Asset Management focuses primarily on the management of Brazilian private credit assets and currently has assets under management of approximately USD 81 million across three closed-end mutual funds, one in Brazil and two overseas.

 

Octante Agribusiness was established in 2010 to meet the growing demand for new sources of funding in the Brazilian agricultural sector. Therefore, Octante Securitizadora, which is a Brazilian publicly-held company registered with the CVM (Brazil’s equivalent to the US SEC), is authorized to issue bonds structured internally or by third parties, namely Certificates of Agribusiness Receivables (CRA) and Certificates of Real Estate Receivables (CRI).

 

In August 2012 Octante Securitizadora joined forces with Syngenta and Bunge. They were responsible for the first public offering of CRA in Brazilian Capital Markets.
