SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

Octante recognizes the importance of carrying out projects that contribute to society, and therefore, has been supporting the Aprendiz de Circo (Circus Apprentice) social project alongside the group Galpão do Circo since 2012.

Galpão do Circo was created in 1997 and is directed by Alex Marinho. It is one of the best-equipped circus schools in Brazil and focuses on the research, teaching and educational development of the circus arts.

The activities held in the school are intended to value and promote the arts of the circus, understanding that it is a fundamental manifestation of the Brazilian cultural identity.

Aprendiz de Circo was created by Galpão de Circo in 2009 and, sponsored by Octante in 2012, offered 140 hours of free circus classes to 18 students coming from low-income families. In 2013, the project had its workload increased to further enhance the training of the 21 students currently attending to circus initiation course.
